How it works
The container and canvas are marked with corresponding numbers.
Paint the container number (14) to the corresponding number (14) on the canvas.
Apply all the paint with the corresponding numbers on the canvas until complete
Once all the paint is applied, your painting will be complete.
Setting Up
- Choose a comfortable chair and surroundings, with plenty of space and light.
- A small container of water and a cloth is required to wash and dry paints between colours.
- Make sure your paintbrush is dry before dipping it into the paint pots.
Helpful Tips
- Start with the smallest areas, then work your way up to medium then large.
- Paint the whole of one colour first, don’t stop and start.
- Be sure to let the paint dry between colours to avoid any smudging
- There should be no gaps between colours.
- Take a picture of your blank canvas, it helps with small areas that can be painted over by mistake.

Great for beginners
This was a fun painting to do as one of my first pbn. I would recommend this for beginners. I find the paintings with larger sections never come out as well as the detailed projects but it was enjoyable anyway and was a good beginner painting for me.

Fun - with a mix of large areas and very small areas. I started on the large and soon found it boring - but craved to get back to it after I tackled the small areas! Also need to blend the boundaries between the starkest colours for a more realistic appearance. Small areas were fun trying to locate all of them - and inevitably missed some. No matter because I am finding these paintings are better for 2 (or 3) coats. Even though I missed a few numbers, it was quite easy to choose the correct colour shade from adjoining or position in picture. Only a couple of “quality control” issues: Pack contained 2 tubs of both shade 1 and shade 24 - presumably for the larger areas. But one of the large areas was coded pink when the accompanying image showed it should be blue. No biggie because I had some approximate colour blue left over from a previous painting. That area received about 6 coats before I got it near enough! The package had been squashed in the post and while no noticeable damage, it dislodged a cover on one of the brushes meaning about half the bristles were askew and needed trimming off - made a handy small brush for the teeny areas! Only other issue was the cog sheet containing the numbers had been distorted by photocopying in portrait rather than landscape - numbers were very hard to read.

Had to do some shading as some of the colors were to light. Overall the finished painting is very nice.

An inaccurate colour
I am enjoying the experience but was disappointed to find colour #6 is very similar to #2 (pink/plum) only slightly darker instead of a darker lilac/blue similar to #1. I may mixed colours when close to finishing if necessary and if there is sufficient paint.
